Hi, In the previous update you saw that the backbox was completed.
Now the main cabinet is in the paint booth.
I always start with the underside, then the backbox riser, then the interior; all 3 completed to clear coat.
Once those areas are done, and taped off, then the main body, can receive it’s base coat, which in this case is gloss white.
The playfield swap has begun, and below are some photos of that process.
All the solenoid assemblies are being cleaned, and rebuilt rebuilt.
As soon as the old playfield is stripped, the metal bolts, screws, nuts, washers, lane guides, and such will enter the tumbler / polisher, and turn for well over a week.
Lots of photos here showing the stringing, and prepping for the playfield wire harness transfer.
The board sets are also being rebuilt.
Always start with the transformer / power rectifier board, as it’s the heartbeat of the entire machine.
If it’s not distributing the 5 different output voltages correctly, nothing downstream will operate correctly.
