This Sega / Stern Flipper rebuild kit fits all modern Stern titles from 1999 Harley Davidson to Present production.
It fits all Sega titles from 1995 Batman Forever to 1999 South Park.
Sega introduced a major flipper redesign on the Batman Forever title, about 1/3 (early production) shipped with the Data East style flipper assembly (see photo gallery) if that is what’s in your Batman Forever you need the Data East Jurassic Park to Sega Baywatch rebuild kit.
The main 3 differences between the two styles are: A) The base plate went to a Bally/Williams style 4-point mount (8 screws) which is better at handling the torque over time, without loosening. B) The plunger link changed to a Oval shape, which does not pull in as far, so the coil stop had to change as well; the new model has a longer plug. Note: For proper flipper rotation, you always want to match the Oval link/plunger with the 515-6308-01 coil stop. C) The look of the crank changed from rectangular to the Williams/Bally style (overall lighter design). This crank is a inferior design, and Stern switched back to the sturdier rectangular crank bar (530-5070-02) on the 2002 Roller Coaster Tycoon title.
So, from Sega Batman Forever (later production) to Stern’s 2002 Playboy the crank was 515-6305-01-Left & 515-6305-00-Right. But, the beefier rectangular crank (530-5070-02) is a exact fit, (see photo gallery) and that is why it is in this kit.
Another difference one may notice, is the nylon flipper bushing part number changed on Batman Forever to 545-5594-00, and like the crank arm above, was changed back to the original Data East 545-5070-00 on the 2002 Roller Coaster Tycoon. I had Stern pull CAD drawings of both bushings, as appearance was quite different, but the minute size difference is of no significance; therefor all of these rebuild kits will ship with the original bushing.

If you have weak flippers I do suggest that you order new flipper bat/shaft (white or yellow), and change them when you rebuild your flippers. Part number can be found under “optional” list.
