Here is another 2-stage restoration, which covers rebuilding the board sets, along with a full playfield teardown, touchup, clearcoat, and rebuild.
Other than a good cleaning the cabinet will not be worked on.
This is a Barry Oursler design, and shipped with the wonky Banana Flippers.
This playfield will need some mylar removed, followed but a through cleaning, a few minor touchups, then clear coated, so it never degrades any further.
It will need some board work, and I have already changed the dreaded 40-pin CPU/Driver interconnect.
Solenoid assemblies have been removed for rebuild, and cleaning.
All playfield metal is now in the tumblers.
Playfield rails are a plain wood look, might paint them white.
Thinking of changing the flipper assemblies out to the newer all on one main base style, as there seems to be room, providing I move some lamp sockets, and the tilt switch.
Doing so would provide much better game play, and increase flipper reliability, so stay tuned!
