Well the “next few days” somehow became a month, but the playfield systems have been tested (switches-lamps-solenoids) all passed 100%; so the final build out has begun.
There are some photos of the rebuilt, and cleaned solenoid assemblies. You will note that all 4 flipper base plates have been changed over to the newer style, with the removable coil stop. This allows for easier future repairs.
The color of the playfield rails has been changed to sky blue, from original wood grain.
All the red ribbed support posts have been tumble cleaned/polished, with any cracked/degraded culled, and replaced.
The new flipper bases are just a tad longer and to make one fit I had to dremel out a bit of the wood on the lower P/F.
A flipper base was too close for comfort to the outhole ball holder, so a notch was cut into the holder, providing ample separation between the two, to prevent voltage jump.
This pin will be receiving a new backglass, and LED player displays.
The Black Knight will play you!
