The power/rectifier board was rebuilt, and as usual I added the custom remote mounted beefed-up bridge rectifiers, which makes the machine action snappier.
Plus, if one should fail in the future, very easy to access, and replace.
Found some custom “Star Trek” drop targets online, which will be added into this pin, clear coated them, so the image does not wear out from ball hits.
As with all the old Bally/Stern the PCB standoffs/mounts were all broken,
Finally found a really good replacement that mounts from behind with a #6 1/4″ machine screw (see photos)
I add a drop of crazy glue to where the screw threads meet nylon, after the install, for good measure.
These are now a stocked product, just search “standoff” to find them.
On this playfield every lamp socket was changed to new.
This P/F used three sizes of lamp sockets, flush mount, 1/2″ & 1-1/8″ riser (all stocked)
As usual, you will see many small wiring color notes are written on the new P/F, and the feed wiring is mapped out with ink, prior to placement.
All new T-nuts are added as well.
This playfield was purchased back in 2014, so it was created using the older “Silkscreen Process”, so the colors are much more vibrant.
It was signed by the Captain William Shatner himself in Apr./2015
Changed all the round upright target faces to Purple.
Found some wire chafing, needed to be repaired.
During the placement of solenoid assemblies, I found a few that were to close to lamp sockets, so I covered them with shrink tubing.
System testing soon.
This title is not pre-purchased, so if you are interested in it-call for details.
