Description
This kit will fit Williams from 1993 STTNG to the end of production.
This kit will fit Bally from 1993 Judge Dredd to the end of production.
Notes:
It was on the above 2 pins that Williams/Bally introduced the Oval flipper link. Since this link does not allow the plunger to pull in as far as, they also had to changed the Coil Stop; giving it a deeper plug. For proper flipper rotation, any crank/plunger/link assembly with a oval link should be paired with a A-12390 coil stop.
Any crank/plunger/link assembly with a tapered link should be paired with a A-12111 Coil Stop.
If the above combinations are mixed you will have one of two issues: 1) Flippers that travel to far on the hold side, which makes trapping the ball too easy. 2) Flippers that don’t travel far enough on the hold side, and trapping the ball becomes difficult due to ball “roll off”.
When rebuilding the flippers don’t forget about the flipper bats, if they are older, or flipper strength is weak, they most likely have internal cross bracing cracks, which you cannot see until they are removed. Part numbers can be found under the optional list.
Likewise you may want to change the cabinet flipper activation switches, as they are often overlooked, and worn out.
