So, picking away at this one in the backround. The main cabinet is in the paint booth. To date the bottom, and interior have both been done.Stencil set is on it's way, and the base coat should be done just before that arrives. The solenoid assemblies are being rebuilt, and cleaned in the evening, when time allows. The backbox, is now ready for paint, just have to tape off the board area.Still have to strip down all the metal, and prep for ...

Well the "next few days" somehow became a month, but the playfield systems have been tested (switches-lamps-solenoids) all passed 100%; so the final build out has begun. There are some photos of the rebuilt, and cleaned solenoid assemblies. You will note that all 4 flipper base plates have been changed over to the newer style, with the removable coil stop. This allows for easier future repairs. The color of the playfield rails has been changed to sky blue, ...

Well this project is almost wrapped up.Within the next few days I will be testing the Solenoid, Lamps, and Switch systems, then building out the upper playfield.Below are some photos of the stages of work required to get to this point. This pin comes from the era of the dreaded Williams 1-piece flipper base assembly, meaning, the coil stop is part of the unit, and does not detach; it's a poor design. If you have them in your pin, know that they can be ...

Here are more photos on the main cabinet structure repairs, along with the backbox. Then the Bondo repairs are needed to remove the decades of bumps and bruises. The backbox had a major hole around the lock, looks like the key was lost, and drilling through the cabinet allowed someone to reach in with a tool, and unlatch the backglass; personally I would have drilled the lock. This Bondo repair will have to be reshaped , and smoothed with a dremel, as it ...

Well this title is now completed, and back home with it's owner.Never had the time to wheel it outside for final photos, as it was so smokey, the photos would have looked off.Anyway, should be able to see the playfield build out process here.Only had one perplexing issue on bootup, and that was some messed up controlled lamps. They would not completely shut off, and would flicker faster than others.Turned out to be a reversed diode on just 1 lone ...

On this restoration I'm working with the original playfield. It has some major diamond coat de-lamination on the "Dracula" lightning bolt inserts, almost looks like golf divots. Those were filed in first with a very thick molasses type clear, which brings them back to actually above level, then later on the sand back everything can be leveled; then a final clear after the heavy black boarder lines were re-inked into place. One of the 3 round purple inserts ...

Thank you...thank you...thank you for the Galaxy pinball machine!!!! A couple of friends of mine set it up this past weekend and it's fantastic!!! Whoever packed it for shipment did an outstanding job!! We are having the best time playing it. In fact the first night it was set up, I couldn't sleep so I went downstairs at 2:00am and played a bunch of games.
I contacted Devron to service and repair my 1977 STARS pinball machine, Devron was easy to contact and was waiting when I arrived. He is very knowledgeable and completed all the repairs he was asked to. Devron contacted me prior to making any extra repairs we didn't originally agree on, until he started to work on the machine and determine what was needed. The machine has been used every week since the last year and works excellent. Devron has a true passion for his work and I found the rates reasonable.
I was researching pinball machines when I found one of Canada's smartest techs and old school pinheads right here in Saskatoon. Devron's passion for this hobby goes well beyond just a business. He successfully coached me to fully repair and restore my first ever restoration, the magnificent Firepower. I also brought a fully restored Harlem Globetrotters and a unique Skateball for my next restoration. Devron helped me re-live my youth! All my buddies love coming over and we get old school for the night. Devron's service and support also allowed me to successfully take my new collection home to Australia and he continues to help me keep these great pieces of history alive even over such a great distance. You will not go wrong talking to Devron about your pinball or gaming machine needs!
Hello! I wanted to let you know I unpacked and set up Hurricane, and it is in beautiful condition, and working wonderfully! You did a magnificent job on the pallet/crate, and it arrived in great condition. It is currently set up in my living room, and playing it takes me back. Thanks! Pleasure doing business with you.
I was satisfied with Devron's services. His prices are reasonable and he is very knowledgeable. I bought a circus pinball machine from him two years ago. He has done an excellent job of refurbishing this machine. I can phone him anytime when I need questions answered or need to tweak my machine. He is always happy to help me. I would definitely buy another machine from him. I highly recommend him to others.
